Reason For My Banner: I chose to use a picture of the skyline of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have lived in Pittsburgh my entire life and could not love the city any more. I think the city is perfect in size, cleanliness, and action. Pittsburgh also contains the friendliest people. I am a huge sports fan and will forever continue to support the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates! I thought this picture was perfect to represent my background, what feels like “home,” and what I love most.

Welcome! My name is Mackenzie White and I am a sophomore at Elon University in North Carolina. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am majoring in Strategic Communications and hope to attain a job that centers around using public relations, advertising and social media to connect organizations to their public. I am one of five children and my interest in Communications began when one brother and sister graduated from Elon with a degree in Communications. Currently, they are in two different occupational fields, which introduced me to the wide variety in the field of Communications. Although I have always been taught to be a leader, I chose to be a follower when I enrolled in Elon University in 2007. I immediately declared my major in Communications and have been productive ever since.
